Character Summary

Predator - Hunter - Carnivore - Cannibal - Machine - Psycho - Disassociation - Sociopath - PSTD -Dominator - Hungry - All-Seeing - Eater of Souls

Trigger warning: Cannibalism, violence, gore, blood

This demon does not like to be touched. He finds it unclean and disgusting, and he is prone to explosive, uncontrollable rages if anyone makes deliberate or accidental physical contact with him. Touch must always be on his terms, or it is not tolerated.

Altair is a clean, tidy demon who cannot stand any kind of mess. Rather than feel obliged to clean up any unclean areas he comes across, he is more inclined to simply kill the one who made it in the first place. He is the kind of creature who would sooner slit your throat for mismatching napkins and table cloths than he would point out the mistake.

He has a series of exceptionally dangerous mental and personality disorders that make him unpredictable and challenging to deal with. His dissociation disorder has given him a very blurred sense of identity, and he has almost no sense of 'self'. This means that when he offends you (guaranteed, he will), he is incapable of caring about how his words or his actions affect you.

He is a confirmed psychopath and sociopath and is manipulative with zero regard for others. Socially, he is a train wreck and treats everyone around him as though they are utter failures at life and peasants beneath his boot heel. He is unnecessarily violent and does not recognize any kind of authority figure. He does what he wants, when he wants, where he wants...

Because he can.

As he is with keeping things neat, Altair is a very tidy eater. He will never touch his victims if he can help it, preferring to use animation instead. Hearts, livers, and abdominal muscle is the only thing he cares for in any creature - demon or human - with green eyes and dark hair. They must also be physically fit. His preference is to fry the meat and organs he has cut out on a stove; sometimes he will bake it in the oven with sauces that he favors.

Ascensions
Dominions
N/A
Dominion 1

Ice

Mastery: Lesser

Ice: The creation and manipulation of ice.

Power Based: The more ice you can create.

Control Based: The more ice you can withstand and manipulate.

Dominion 2

Metal

Mastery: Minor

Metal: The ability to manipulate metal and metallic objects.

Power Based: The heavier/larger amount of metal you can manipulate at once.

Control Based: The more intricately you can manipulate metal. Higher levels of mastery in the Metal dominion can allow control based characters to turn a lock in a building down the block (this is an extreme example, but nevertheless possible).

Dominion 3

Mimicry

Mastery: Lesser

Mimicry: The ability to perfectly mimic watched actions or even dominions. Only higher levels of mimicry can bring true 100% mimicry and even enhancement of mimicked dominions. **Characters can mimic things they watch online/on television, if said things are in the realm of possibility (i.e. they can’t grow wings because they watched Lady Pegasus do it in Adventureland).

Power Based: The more watched actions you can mimic at once. If you watch someone successfully jump from one building to another, and then triple backflip to the ground to land without getting hurt, it’d be easier for you to perfectly mimic all these actions in a mere second. On higher levels of mastery, you could also be dodging bullets matrix style while doing all the above (given you’ve seen “The Matrix” of course).

Control Based: The easier it is to recall actions watched in the past. Actions you watched months ago can be recalled in a second on higher levels of mastery. Control based mimicry usually learns how to mimic other dominions easier/quicker as well, but is lacking in the amount of time able to sustain the copied dominion (in most cases of lower mastery being a couple minutes at once).

Dominion 4

Omnipresence

Mastery: Lesser

Omnipresence: The ability to split fractions of one's consciousness off and implant it into another place to have the information relayed to self. The user is essentially in multiple places at once. However, the more fractions split off the more divided their strength and the weaker they are.

Power: The ability to plant part of one's consciousness in inanimate things or structures for a limited time.. Control: The ability to plant part of one's consciousness into a willing participate for a limited time and share the information their senses gather.

Dominion 5

Animation

Mastery: Major

Animation: The ability to allow objects that have never and will never live to act as though they are living. Items will never gain sentience or will of their own, but may follow orders, sometimes even after the animator is dead. Power Based: The bigger size of unanimated objects you can animate.

Control Based: The larger amount of unanimated objects you can animate and control at once.

Dominion 6

Precognition

Mastery: Legendary

Precognition: The ability to see into the immediate future or past events of ones own self or another's by touch.

Power: The easier it is to see a longer span of time for one's future. Particularly good for sensing danger.

Control: The easier it is to see a longer span of time for another's future or peer into their recent history. Requires physical touch.

Character In-Depth

Trigger warning: Cannibalism, violence, gore, blood

Altair is his name. It has always been his name, but it wasn't his parents who gave it to him.

He was born in a laboratory setting some ten thousand years ago in the demon realm. others were born with him, at the same time. Little balls of light that flitted harmlessly to and fro until they reached maturity. And then they were encouraged to create a true form, one that would define them in this sterile, lonely place.

Altair, once he chose the form of a dragon, devoured his siblings.

Every. Single. One of them.

Rather than destroy him, the demons running the facility decided to study him instead. They soon discovered that he had an aptitude for precognition; he just seemed to know things without being told, and so they focused on that. Almost profusely. He lived a large chunk of his life - thousands of years - inside a sterile sensory deprivation tank half filled with water. He lived his life in utter darkness. In absolute silence. No sensation. No sense of smell. No understanding or knowledge of any other world except for the space he was immersed within. He feasted on whatever energy he could grasp, fed once per week and no more. They kept him hungry - always hungry - so that he would be easier to handle. Easier to deal with should things get out of hand. He was physically weak, but mentaly stimulated.

A weapon. An all-seeing eye. He was trained to target humans in the mortal realm, along with the demons attached to them. He would be given a piece of their skin, some hair, a part of their body, anything that could allow him to hone in on their past, their future. And it was through this constant use of his power that he began to truly loathe humans and the demons who were attached to them. Look at them. Free to roam in the outside world while he was trapped in some element of space and time.

It was the very first time that Altair felt any sense of resentment, any true self of self. To this very day, it is perhaps the only real sense of self that he has.

And it was from that moment, that animosity concerning his situation, that he began to want out. He now knew there was something else out there. He had seen it himself, too, in his mind. Stretching well into his future to a time when freedom... whatever that was... could belong to him.

He began to spend more and more time outside the chamber, encouraged to learn combat of various types. He learned hot to free run, how to do park-our. He learned melee weapons, meditation, escape tactics. He became well versed in the art of war, in strategy and reconnaissance. Taught technology and modern science, his photographic memory and mimicry allowed him to pick everything up with lightning speed.

When he was nearly 9000 years old, he was transferred to the City. The facility was in an underground bunker and far less well-maintained than the other. Having lived his life in flawless conditions, seeing such unclear surfaces stoked a fury inside of Altair. he was prone to rages that 'came out of nowhere'. If anyone touched him, he would go from calm to murderous in less time that it took to exhale in shock. He was ornery and cantankerous, unpredictable and lethal.

Unable to stand it in the facility, the demon came and went as he pleased, utilizing hallucinations, omnipresence, and precognition to do so. By the time he returned, no one was ever the wiser. This happened throughout the course of his time in that facility, where he continued to be subject to experiments of varying kinds. He was also used almost profusely for tracking down anyone who needed to be found, though in such an environment he was far less willing and more inclined to resist. As a result, he spent most of his time locked in a cell for the safety of the staff; the death toll on his list was close to the 20s.

Those numbers went up considerably when, one day, Altair - according to the few survivors - lost his mind. From the beginning, he had set up a series of events that were foreseen in his mind. And when the clock struck precisely 4:23AM, he burst from his cell in his draconic demon form.

The slaughter was unprecedented. With the power down, there was no anti dominion technology to stop him as his pristine white plates and scales turned red with the blood of the staff. He didn't eat, only killed, teeth and claws ripping asunder, immensely heavy coils suffocating, crushing. Metal and ice, animation and mimicry, precognition. He knew where to strike, when, how because he had seen it all before... a thousand times. All of his gifts, his talents, utilized to his advantage. Doors, walls, floors, medical equipment, people's clothing, every object Altair could see, went on the offensive. Became alive and determined to kill. And when all was said and done, and when he came to the surface as a man...

More than 200 people were mere corpses below in that secret place.
