Sage had been in the restroom when the officer arrived. She moved back out and didn't even notice the worried look playing at Daniel's features; he always seemed a little hard to read to the girl. She walked right past him and didn't notice him calling out to her as she stepped into the elevator and started to move up.

She hadn't been working long. At this point, it was only her third week at the office. She mostly knew her job and almost knew the building. Billie had been extremely kind and generous in the time since her getting hired. She had even gone so far as to buy her a new work outfit after Sage had run out of new clothes after day three. So far, nothing too crazy had crossed her small desk. Mostly she pushed paperwork and took calls, though she almost felt like the organizer of the office. If something needed booking, she booked it. If it needed filing, she filed it.

It felt good helping people, if only from this end of things.

The doors of the elevator opened and Sage made her way toward Ms. Sweeney's office, one hand holding a file filled with paperwork. She needed her boss to look it over before she filed it. The girl still felt a little nervous every time she met with Billie. They seemed to be on good terms, but that didn't really make her much more comfortable. She passed by another of her coworkers she hadn't met on the way in, but didn't think anything of it. It felt like she hadn't met a lot of her coworkers, including the Henche in Henche and Sweeney. They must be busy, though, so Sage didn't think much of that, either.

The door to the office was a little open, so Sage took that to mean she could step in. With a light knock on the door, she poked her head into the office. Her eyes grew a little wider at the sight. A woman she hadn't met before stood in front of another, much shorter and younger looking woman. Oh! Recognition crossed her face as Sage stepped fully into the room, a smile making her expression bright.

"Ananke?" she asked as she stepped in, Orcus on her shoulder. The phoenix shifted a little, putting on a mask of disinterest regardless of the fact that he was very interested in the scene in front of them. "How are you? What are you doing here?" Sage shot the questions out excitedly, completely unaware of the vibe of the room. "Oh, I brought some files for you, Ms. Sweeney."

Sage pushed the files toward her boss, again not reading the situation at all. Why should she? She had no reason to suspect anything nefarious about the company she worked for. She had no reason to be suspicious of anyone in the room; she had met Ananke before, she loved Ms. Sweeney, and the newcomer seemed nice enough.

The poor girl never knew when she walked into a shit storm.

Another woman bursts onto the scene, unrelenting, uncaring, and Ananke realizes- ah, it's her again. Kashiro Henche of Henche and Sweeney. If Billie is a bird, then she is the snake. Makes for an odd pair, given what usually happens to those animals in the wild. (Hint: one of them eats the other.)

Of all demons, Kashiro's kind is the one Ananke detests the most. She is undisciplined and unrelenting, behaving like a vicious child. No respect for law, or care for order. Only greedily taking what she wants. Lacking control. It's a way of behaving that she finds undignified, somewhat disgusting. Ananke remembers the incident with the man with the book. Kashiro and Billie do not seem to. It may be to the child-demon's advantage, given that she knows exactly how wary she needs to be of the two.

Very.

"I am the only one they sent, because I am all that was required," Ananke explains, treating this more like a bother than a worry. "It's standard protocol, no matter the severity. But we don't expect anything serious to come of this." She ignores the murderous glint in the snake-woman's eyes. The unnatural smile on her lips. She refuses to be anything but bored, stoic, and to the point. Give no reason to cause suspicion.

Henche calls over an employee, attracts attention to the sergeant. That is fine. The more attention on Ananke the better. Lionel has been given free reign, as far as Ananke is concerned. Whether or not he finds anything of note, the absolute top priority is for him not to be caught. Unfortunately,t he is on his own from this point on.

"Hello, Sage. I'm here on business." Another employee is brought into the fold, another familiar face. Ananke's voice and face are just as flat as Sage would remember. "Following Legion protocols. I'll be out of your company's hair soon, however." And then, to Billie: "Miss Sweeney. If I could speak to you alone? This won't take long, but there are procedures to follow." The implied meaning being that no one else is to join them in the actual 'interview'. More people would mean more time wasted, and Ananke has no intention of violating the half-hour limit given.

Audry appears in Billie's periphery and not shortly there after, Kashiro enters-- theatrical as ever and unable to be ignored. Typical. Truthfully, Billie couldn't be any more relieved as the familiar and animated demoness peels onto the scene.

Despite the fact that they were on shakier terms than they had been in past times, Billie has not forgotten. She could never forget. Programmed, desensitized, and molded to the hydra's whims: It was adapt or go extinct, and so, she had. Billie knows the Hydra hated authority, false heroes, and Billie imagines it to go far back. Much further back than recent years, further back than her lifetime even, but if there is one thing she is certain of it was just how very dangerous Kashiro was when something dared threaten her.

Of course, Billie could never understand why, or how, anyone could be so stupid as to tango with a hydra. And yet, time and time again comes a challenge. People (and demons) were weird. This was part of the reason she so often preferred computers and machines over actual company.

Her cool eyes follow the eccentric movements of the reptile in woman's clothes as she engages and interacts with the childlike demon, fully aware that Henche seldom smiled like that-- except for when she was trying very hard to mask the predator beneath that pretty flesh. Henche was rightfully feared, and it is fear Billie feels now, though not for the reasons one might've thought. Though she makes no motion to intervene or prevent Kashiro from saying, or doing, something regrettable, she is aware that she's holding her breath.

When dealing with P I G S, there was absolutely no way to tell how things would end up-- ass up or down. It was dangerous to have them around for so many reasons, but at the forefront is their safety, which, was ironic considering "safety" was what the copper has supposedly come to speak to them about. And yet, she was anything but safe while Kashiro was present.

Billie makes an honest effort to keep the situation under wraps when she ushers the child demon towards the elevator. Really, she was trying to do her a favor. Nothing was so simple, though-- business didn't stop because of one badged visitor in the office.

Another employee, Sage, arrives-- doing as was expected of her, pleasant as always. Sage, the darling that she was, seemed to recognize this Officer Ananke and greets her between passing off routine paperwork. "Thank you, Sage, I will get to them after we speak with the Officer." She looks to the small demoness, a grin finding it's place on her features with her fondness for Sage, somewhat affirmed or validated in that she could rely on a solid employee to corroborate whatever story she'd be needing to tell.

She had tried to be polite, cordial and accommodating-- but the small demon is humorless. She answers questions in lackluster fashion, maintaining a disconcerting sort of stoicism that gives Billie the gut feeling that something is amiss... aside from the obvious: that there are cops in their place of business.

The moment the officer insinuates speaking to her alone, Billie's expression shifts. It tightens and drops-- polar opposite to her partner's expression earlier. She absolutely did not appreciate being cornered in her own company, as the programmer was so unfortunate to discover, and in this way (among others), she and Kashiro are not so dissimilar.

Billie is feeling grateful that she'd programmed and installed all the hybrid physical/cyber security cameras to minimize risk of exposure to Henche & Sweeney's practice when she had. Funny, she thought she'd been doing it for Henche's protection when it was looking more than likely it'd be her own... at least in this case.

She hums thoughtfully at the inquiry, maintaining a professional demeanor and temperance which Kashiro lacked. Pausing dead in her footsteps halfway to the conference room, Billie turns to the demon with a rather austere mien. "I was under the impression that this was a matter of company safety, perhaps documentation or compliance-- is that not why you're here, officer?" A brow quirks curiously as she watches the woman's face. "If it's a company related matter, then I am sure you understand that my associate should also be present. Protocols, you know." Referencing Ananke's earlier explanation.

"Unless safety is not what this is about?" Her head tilts inquisitively, but she shows no evidence of entertaining this "meeting" further without proper explanations or concessions. Billie Jane Sweeney was sharp as a tack. Pity the fool who took her for face value and failed to consider how it was that a woman 26 years on this earth managed to grow a small organ donation empire in less than a decade.

Dedication, good fortune, intelligence and a whole lot of blood, sweat, and tears was how . . .

. . . A whole lotta blood.

The Wendigo is completely unaware of the presence that lurks in her shadow, meandering idly over to the small gathering with mounting interest. The ragtag ensemble was growing as Ms. Henche and another employee Audry had never seen before show up. The flurry of energy that comes with the snake is enough to grab her attention before the sound of her name, gaze diverting to watch the interaction.

It is no secret that words are hard for the demon, but that is never an issue with Ms. Henche. The way she approaches the officer screams of violence, every movement controlled in a precisely animal way. Despite the smile on her face, she is not happy. This sends a little prickle up Audry's spine, like a raven that watches a wolf hunt. There is a promise of blood if one wrong step is taken, and she has never minded being a scavenger. Her name rouses her from the trance that threatens to take her, sliding over in that smooth, gliding way that she does, and standing with the serpent.

"Hello." There is a lot of talking that happens after her slow greeting, eyes beginning to train on the new body in the room as the words fly over her head. The conversation was impossible to follow with her level of intellect (or lack thereof), barely retaining a grasp as to why the small Legionnaire was even here in the first place. Typically, when the Legion showed up it was never good, so she had to wonder if someone here was supposed to be in trouble. From the confusing back and forth, she could at least glean that the cop wanted something of informational value. Expression unchanging, the demon allows her priorities to shift over to the unfamiliar human. It is the first time she has seen her, and wishes to inspect the fresh blood.

Walking over to her, she does not hesitate to reach out and attempt to grab the glasses right off her nose. If she got them, she would turn them over and peek through the lenses--eyes squinting to make out the blurry shapes on the other side.

Ananke shakes her head, steadfast in the face of resistance. “This is a matter of public safety. An incident you were a witness in. Your company has nothing to do with this. I was only sent here because we knew you would be at your place of work at this time.” And that is true; the entire incident revolves solely around the man covered in blood, and the woman who bought him new clothes as if on a whim. Everything else- the company visit, the invisible officer lurking in the corners, her own presentation- is insurance. In case. In case the organ empire does indeed have anything to do with the incident. It might not, but still. In case.

“I apologize if we made you think otherwise, but your associate’s presence won’t be necessary. This should be over quickly,” she repeats. No urgency in her tone, just vague impatience. Like she has better places to be right now. Which is also true.

A serpent had to be particularly cunning if it wanted to enjoy longevity. She'd come close to losing it once to a famed man who severed the Hydra's heads, but he was the only one who was ever going to manage that such feat. A little thing like this, and a bang-up sty full of oinking and messy pigs were certainly not going to do it.
So, she was cunning. What appeared to be a flighty half-thought of calling Audry near was but the intention to ensure she was close enough to grab and eviscerate - you know, like the wendigo and jersey devils were wired to do. She was quick and potentially savage and the serpent intended to make use of that if they needed it.
The serpent casts an occasional glance in direction of the woman bearing paperwork - she's never seen her but immediately takes her as a sort of secretary specifically hired for Sweeney, so she doesn't give her much attention at this time. There were more pertinent things than paperwork for right now, of course.

The Hydra doesn't say much. She lets Billie speak her piece and does not concur nor add onto it - not verbally. Their relationship at this time was severed save for the business-related things, as any good business partners would function together. Their outs did nothing to compromise the quick reaction once "pigs" were spotted in the building, nor did it remotely compromise the serpent's instinct to route any threat to her business partner. "Then if this is an informal matter you're a guest on my property. Even the janitor has more rights than the p-officers here if you're just here for.. public safety, as you called it. You know the law, don't you?" she's sharp and quick, the excitement entirely gone from every thread of her being. Her face was pale and empty, her smile ripped from her face and her eyes, hollow always, stern in their nothingness. She was forward and she was crafty and unyielding, on the precipice of yelling a command that the pig would very much regret. "I control who is in the room and who is not. If you want to speak only with Ms. Sweeney you'll need to take her to your property, Legionnaire." then like the flick of a switch, the unruly and unpredictably Hydra flashes her long, "friendly" grin once more. "You may speak to us both, now. Perhaps I've seen something, too. You never know until you ask!" Henche would otherwise go wherever she wanted on her property whenever she wanted. What did the pigs imagine? That she was a fool? Or that she was afraid of bullets, perhaps? Gravity was an awfully useful thing, she even proved that to Kelly after all. How easy to make someone's heart just.. go to sleep.

After handing Ms. Sweeney the paperwork, Sage looks over to the knew girl, curious. She seemed a little slow to answer, a little disconnected. Regardless, Sage was happy to meet someone new. As the woman's attention shifted to her, her face lit with a bright smile. "Hello," she said, not even considering the fact that she had just interrupted something and should probably leave the room instead of introduce herself. Her hand moves out toward the woman in greeting as she got a little closer. "I'm not sure we've-" Sage quits talking abruptly as the stranger's hand reaches out and grabs her glasses.

"Wait," she said, moving her hands up and towards the woman. "No, I need those." The stranger had already turned them over and was holding them up to her face. Dismay filled Sage's face as she glanced around, looking for someone to step in and help her. Squinting, she looked around at the now blurry shapes.

Growing up, Sage had been taught to control her dominions with "triggers." It helped keep control of the sometimes volatile powers. One especially volatile power was her vision; sure, it never was very strong since her normal eyesight wasn't great, but lasers were lasers, even if they were small. Her trigger for her vision dominion had always been taking her glasses off, so as soon as they were pulled off her face, Sage made sure to shift into her infrared vision and not her laser vision, which would probably end up much worse.

Now, she was looking at the bodies and something wasn't quite right. Squinting, she lost interest in the woman who was now playing with her glasses. Something was really not right. Her mouth moved for a second as she looked around at the glowing shapes. First, she looked at Ms. Sweeney, holding up a finger. Then she moved on to the other woman whom she gathered to be her boss as well, holding up a second finger. So on and so forth until she was holding up five fingers.

She counted again, not paying any attention to what anyone was saying. This time, she mouthed each person's name as she counted. "Ms. Sweeney, Ms. Henche, Stranger with my glasses, Ananke, and someone?"

"Wait," she said, not noticing if she was interrupting someone or not, "Hold on." She counted a third time, pointing to each person. Her finger landed on what had been empty space. "Five. Who's that?" Curiously, she looked at the blurred shape. Was her vision acting up? No, it looked pretty solid, albeit obscure without her glasses. She moved a little closer without thinking, squinting at the figure.

Billie's eyes narrow to slits the moment the child demon admits what it was she was really here about. She doesn't speak initially, and those she knows to be swirling about in the flurry of activity are, for the most part, momentarily ignored-- with the exception of Kashiro. There was no ignoring her, especially not as that momentary silence is filled with her voice. She thinks it impossible to be more grateful to her than in that moment, and for the time being holds her tongue.

With this, an opportunity is afforded which allows Billie to hone into the nearest security devices, communicating with them through the WR burner phone lodged somewhere in the void of Pocket Space. She had, after all, designed them herself... perhaps with some minor assistance from a certain programmer. The tech is running smoothly, voices and faces being recorded from a number of angles from above. Typically there was no reason to review the footage, and it just as quickly disappears as it came about-- but now, she streams and saves the exchange, up from the moment that little demon walked through their door.

She's a tad distracted through the exchange while preoccupied with technopathically communicating with the surrounding tech. As such, already being distracted welcomed even more distractions and her attention diverts to the exchange between Sage and Audry. Already stern set brows dip a lower as she shoots her neighbor a disapproving look, but perhaps the "bad behavior" was beneficial in this scenario. Curiously she observes Sage hold fingers up and count, then looks around the immediate vicinity. Something wasn't adding up.

"Sage, what's wrong?" Billie asks, sure to shoot the intruding Legion demon a look conveying her skepticism as she turns to the young associate.

"I believe we're owed an explanation, officer." Her tone is no longer cordial, it's demanding, and any politeness is forced behind the somewhat monotone drawl she adopts. "Who's that my associate is detecting? You claim this to be a matter of "public safety" and if I was potentially a witness, then why was I not brought to the precinct for questioning in a timely manner-- you know, where official interviews are conducted? Forgive me for being dubious, but this all seems highly unprofessional. If this is voluntary, I most certainly won't be discussing any matters with you on my company's time, which, you've now sufficiently wasted."

Her already glacial eyes seem a bit chillier as they drill into the demon's own.

"Speech" | Thought

Having tuned out of the legal battleground of the argument, the wendigo allows herself to be pulled away by a distraction. A young woman she has never seen before approaches the group, turning in something and apparently also oblivious to what was going on. The only thing that Audry remained acutely aware of was the posturing of her fellow demon, continually glancing her way just to be sure that nothing had changed. As slow and deliberate as she seemed, she had the capability to act on a dime should it ensure a quicker capture. This young outsider was not welcome here by how Ms. Henche reacted, and though she ventures near the bespectacled woman she attempts to keep one ear turned toward the conversation. The diversion is difficult to maintain, hence why she says nothing and merely takes the glasses before inquiring about them.

The young human seems put-off by this gesture, though Audry pays her no mind. Turning them over in her hands, she puts them on upside down—nose wrinkling at the sensation before she flips them over. Whatever the woman wanted to do to get them back was not the demon's concern, too preoccupied with figuring out what they were doing to her eyes when she put them on. However, just as Sage seemed to be coming to a course of action, something catches her eye.

The demon is not very good at math, but she can at least count to ten, and knows for a fact that there are only five of them present in all. When another is counted, the wendigo's head twists with frightening velocity to the space where Sage pointed. Breathing deep, Audry attempts to sift through the scents in the room that she knows, and the ones that she does not. Approaching the spot, she keeps walking and lashes out with a sudden quickness—looking to grab at a space that looks deceptively unoccupied and find purchase on something.

Ananke raises an eyebrow, feigning confusion. Her current 'story' is that this is a ploy to distract her, or to stall. So long as the others don't actually find out Lionel's identify, his prescence is a moot point. "I have no idea what you're talking about about," she says smoothly, "but fine. If you don't wish to cooperate, you have two choices. One, you can come with me to the station and be questioned officially. We'll have to drive all the way down the station, do a full interrogation on a minor matter, and it'll be a huge waste of time for the both of us. More so than if you had just agreed to talk quickly right away." An unattractive choice for the both of them.

"Or," she guestures to the exit, "you refuse to cooperate, I will return to the Legion alone, and we'll have to expend legal manners to force you to come at a later date. Possibly culminating in and including arresting you for obstruction of justice. It'll be an even bigger waste of time and a source of embarrassment. But if you really want to be brought in over such a simple manner, we will indulge you."

The child-demon does not care either way. Both manners will get her what she wants. One will simply be more painful than the other. "What will it be, Miss Sweeney. Should I go seek out a warrant for arrest?"

The serpent's head cocked at a sickening angle, sporting an owl's flexibility that cocked her vision almost entirely horizontal. Her thoughts on the matter as everything unfolded while she quietly stood, the way the secretary indicated something unseen and the way Sweeney pressed it further while Paseo investigated and, of course, the PIG WAS L Y I N G TO HER FACE... the intensity of what was beneath her hollow, hollow expression was impossible to contain in these following words. But the only thing that was keeping her from impulsively reverting her form and devouring everything in sight was that she did not wish to kill Sweeney and she'd grown very fond of Paseo - and most certainly, if she acted as the Hydra was wont to do when she DISGUSTED BY THE PIGS, they would be crushed. She feels constricted, trapped by the parameters of those four walls and had they been anywhere else where she had the space, the LITTLE OINKER would be unrecognizable. So, given that she is restricted that way, she does the only other appropriate thing.

She screams.

This was an incredible sound, and the room grew levels colder with it. Gravity hitched lighter and then tugged tight in the room - not enough to topple anything, for it was reactionary and was not done with intent, but it was enough that the insides might feel weighted like some strenuous run had been just completed. Her scream was a sharp, inhuman thing, the shrill hiss of the Hydra's true voice like a machine with serrated edges. She was speaking in the undertones of the sound after a brief moment of unintelligible noise. This was why she hated the pigs. This was why they were criminals, and this is why serial killers were still at large because the Legion of Pigs were too busy breaking the laws themselves to enforce them. HOWSILLYHOWSILLYHOWSILLY

"GET. OUT. GETOUTGETOUTGET.OUT." it was Henche's property, and if they did not have a warrant to search her property, they either left at her immediate request or... well. "TAKE THE INVISIBLE P I G AND LEAVE-" the serpent was quite finished with the word "officer" - these were not officers! They came to get something that was not theirs and HID to do it; if they had been in the right, if they had been doing what they were supposed to, they would have had no reason to hide - no reason to think that anything needed to be kept from these presumably-normal, reasonable people of Henche & Sweeney, LLP. Which came first, her disgust for the pigs or the corruption of the pigs that made her disgusted?
Exhibit A.
From an outside perspective it looked like she was having some sort of breakdown, the equivalent of someone snapping moments before they took the lives of hundreds and then offed themselves - Kashiro was entirely stable, however, just not by conventional standard. "HAHAHA. JUST LIKE THE PIGS TO BREAK THE LAW" She was roughly pacing now, her hands combing aggressively through her long hair while she thought of absolutely nothing. She then strode over to where Sweeney was, all the while muttering something about pigs, and roughly seeking to grasp the human woman's arm she tells her "-Either GO with the pigs or STAY here BUT I WANT THEM O F F MY PROPERTY." she says it as though Billie Sweeney had the power to make it all go away, had the power to fulfill the serpent's ever demanding, demanding wish. "...The commissioner will be answering for this." it sounded like the everyday "multi-millionaire puffing up their chest at the law" and perhaps it would be if she were not mafia. Sweeney and Paseo would know the complete ramifications of this surprisingly-dull statement, but no one else. It would be a media circus and they had enough witnesses of such "POLICE" misconduct.

...But, that being said, it was perhaps best to let them win for now.
They wanted Sweeney and they found her.
Anything to get them OFF HER PROPERTY.

But that was entirely up to Sweeney.
All the serpent knows is that she had better have her back soon. STAT.

Neo has given permission to have Lionel flee this thread! We can assume he jumped ship and left as Audry goes after him and will not be returning to the Legion after this encounter.

Billie was smart, she was observant, she was a loyal and hard worker, but she was NOT renowned for controlling her temper. It's been seen before and it's sure to happen again. Especially now. Especially here. And Especially considering the circumstances. All that poise and professionalism becomes shed skin, revealing a raw and angry thing that's cornered and as quick to lash out as her once keeper.

She didn't like the tone the purple Muppet was taking up. Everything about it was perceived as patronizing and once wide blue eyes turn steely sharp and cold as ice. Billie can feel Kashiro in the background, she knew how the serpent loathed officials, humans in power-- what they did, what they thought they could do. It's a sentiment Billie can relate to and her dark brows angle sharply with the agitation mutually shared. She shows little regard now, as little as she's been shown: it took respect to earn hers in turn.

"This pig oinks too much."

It's stated plainly and offhandedly towards Kashiro, the calm of her voice misleading-- though Billie's eyes don't lie. Her glacial glare doesn't leave the Legionnaire, though she remains peripherally aware of Sage and Audry in pursuit of that unknown entity, the same which this officer denied and lied about. She'd get that on camera, too. At this point, the officer was no longer being regarded as an individual, but rather an object to be spoke about-- as if she wasn't there, or was unable to be self-aware.

She is not deferential to the implied "choices" she's being provided in lieu of the cooperation that would not come. She'd sooner take those risks over going anywhere with the corrupt copper.

Kashiro screams-- it was to be expected. Billie's expression barely flinches, staring down the "officer" as her partner begins going off the rails. If this didn't frighten them, then she's not sure what would. Despite their... less than ideal standing, Billie is as one with the serpent demon now, the flood of adrenaline amplifying how astute she feels and all the more tuned into the demands and needs of the serpentine woman who paces and tics beneath the burden of her own idiosyncrasies. She's in full agreement now-- "YES. LEAVE."

Her voice is sharp as a blade, teeth flashing white behind the scowl of disgust which plays on her pretty ruby red lips. Speaking in something akin to robotic when she begins, Billie has clearly lost her patience and any semblance of acquiescence which she might have possessed.

"You fail to recognize that you are on private property without a warrant and that I have far more options than those you provide me with. Your pretty words, these lame attempts of manipulating through fear, to exhort to get what you want-- this..." She aggressively waves her hand in the general direction of the officer. "... it does not move me. Do you suppose a corporation like this doesn't have a legal department? I'll take my chances since you don't have a warrant and you're as crooked as they come." Billie begins to move forward, her hands sharply gesticulating down the hall towards the spiraling staircase that led to the lobby.

"You heard us-- G E T O U T! I will, on my own volition, in my own mode of transportation, and without your accompanying me contact the Commissioner to voluntarily provide them, perhaps even personally, with the answers that may or may not come from this so-called "official questioning". Investigation, HA! Go fetch your 'warrant'. That should give me just enough time to transfer over all this footage of you being an underhanded slime-bag to the Commissioner and get 'em on the phone. I want to hear it from them directly that this was a warranted and sanctioned operative to get what you want."

You greedy P I G.

As much as it was in her power, she would oblige the serpent and put her to ease. And so, if it was her that they came for, she would make it so that she wasn't there. Her heels tear up at the carpet which lines the hallway as she descends the spiral stairs in a huff, showing the officer right to the door. She props it open behind an elbow and stares impatiently at the officer, watching and waiting for her to comply.

Sage watched the entire encounter, wide-eyed and confused. She had no idea why Legion was here or what they needed Ms. Sweeney for. Whatever it was, it clearly upset everyone in the room. On top of that, she still couldn't really see anything aside from heat patterns, which was incredibly confusing and gave her a little bit of a headache.

She continued squinting and trying to understand, well, anything, until Ms. Henche started screaming. She knew the woman was a demon with a bit of an off-putting presence, but she had never heard anything like that. Not only was it terribly loud, but there was a blinding dampening of all the heat around her and throughout the room. The gravity shifted, the world turned dark, and her ears were ringing. She dropped to her knees, still in the doorway.

Every other word that passed through the others passed right over the girl. She had no idea what was going on now, even worse so with her being almost blind(she could only see bits of other people's heat now), mostly deaf, and her body was cold and heavy, effectively stamping out almost all of her senses. Orcus disappeared from sight just as the demoness started screaming, shielding him from most of it. He still felt it through Sage, though, and it made him even more uncomfortable with her choice of employment.

"Ah, you mean the footage of me walking in here alone, and being accused of bringing some invisible accomplice with me despite the lack of proof?" Ananke is unswayed by angry looks and venomous words; instead, she looks somewhat disgusted by the display. "The footage of your employee mistakenly seeing something, and of you two instantly taking her word for it? The footage the looks like you've completely manufactured an incident for the sake of avoiding having to come down to the station?" If you ask her, it looks like they're the ones making a fool of themselves here. One employee staggers around grabbing for an invisible officer who isn't even there, one stands there in confusion, and two immediately lose their cool.

How embarrassing.

The demon shrugs noncommittally glancing at Billie but looking eyes with Kashiro for a little longer. As a demon, she ought to know better. Have more control. But perhaps when they don't feel unlikely to lose anything, older demons have no problem putting their dignity on the line. "Very well. You are welcome to phone the Commissioner, if they will have the time to talk." Surely the woman whom had been directly labeled as a suspect will be given the greatest of service by the entity in charge of the organization investigating her. And as Ananke turns and walks away, slowly, calmly, she out a phone and begins making some calls of her own. This investigation will be more troublesome than earlier thought.
